Waters Donates Funds to Relief Agencies In Wake of Attacks; Company Will Match Employee Contributions
MILFORD, Mass., Sep 20, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Waters Corporation announced today it is donating $100,000 to The September 11th Fund established by the United Way and the New York Community Trust to assist the victims affected by last week's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington D.C. Separately, Waters announced that its Senior Management is donating $300,000 to the Fund.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost their lives or suffered injuries as well as those with family and friends involved in this catastrophic attack. We only hope that this helps in some small way with those families affected." said Douglas Berthiaume, CEO and Chairman of Waters Corporation.

Additionally, Waters is encouraging its employees worldwide to use the company's matching gift program. The company will match dollar for dollar donations to the United Way's September 11th Fund or the American Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund. The company has waived any contribution limit for employee donations to these funds.
